Botley Road Park Oxford

More than just a park, but a community

Botley park is Oaks favorite place to go and play ball. We go to this park everyday, so please say hello if you spot us!

Oak loves to play ball or catch with other dogs. At the back of the park is tumbling bay which is a hidden gem. Tumbling bay used to be a place for locals to swim. You can still see the steps that lead into the water. I was told that there used to be changing huts and a life guard once.

Botley park, has lots of room for your dog to run around. In the winter it can get flooded. There are park benches to sit on and dog waste bins. Tennis courts. Basket ball court. Football goals. Children’s park with swings, slide and climbing frame.

There is a café called the tumbling bay café in the community center. This is on the edge of the park and has a small garden terrace which dogs are allowed.

The dogs in the photo below are Oak, Rita and Bryn. Bryn is a regular in the park, he is 11 years old but still likes to play.
