Breed Tails – Bordoodle
Molly, My Best Friend
What breed is she?? Is that an Irish wolfhound?? Deerhound?? Bearded Collie?? Whippet?? Spanish Water Dog??
Just a few of the guesses!! What would you guess??
Well Molly is a Border Collie x Standard Poodle (interesting right)
She is 7 years old and is apart of the yellow army (https://myanxiousdog.co.uk/pages/national-dogsinyellow)
She is anxious around people and some dogs but we do not let this stop our adventures. Molly comes with me everywhere… Holidays, Meeting friends, On the bus, On a long hike and On the occasional run lol. If we are ever in a crowded place with lots of people we tend to use her “Anxious” lead and “Please give me space” bandana.
Border Collie
The Border Collie is a British breed of herding dog which is usually medium size. Apparently they are the most intelligent breed of dog. The Border Collie’s intelligence, strong work ethic and great stamina make them excellent (and rather adorable) little sheepherders. The Border Collie can be an anxious breed, So they always need your love and affection.
Standard poodle
The Poodle is originally from Germany. The breed name comes from the German word “pudel” or “pudelin,” which means “to splash in the water.” The Poodle comes in 3 sizes… Toy, Miniature and Standard. The Poodle is a very active breed.
Poodle mix
The Poodle mix has become very popular. All breeds have been bred with a Poodle forming a lovely combination of both dogs. This is wonderful because you get the best of both worlds but also note that you can get the worst of both worlds. So make sure you do your research before welcoming a Poodle cross into your home. Just to make sure you satisfy all their needs and are aware of any issues that may occur. My Border Collie x Poodle is a gorgeous girl who loves cuddles and playtime but has definitely picked up the Border Collie’s anxious side. You will never regret getting a Poodle mix 🙂
