Step-by-step guide for making doggy ice cream at home:

Step 1: Prepare the Oats

  • Start by reusing water that you boiled vegetables in. This water is full of vitamins and is beneficial for dogs.
  • Use this vegetable water to cook some oats. Follow the cooking instructions on the oat package.
  • Once cooked, let the oats cool overnight.

Step 2: Gather the Ingredients

  • Gather the following ingredients:
  • A large tub of natural unsweetened yogurt.
  • The boiled oats from the previous step.
  • Freshly squeezed apple and carrot juice. If you don’t have a juicer, you can grate the apple and carrot instead.
  • Half a teaspoon of cinnamon spice.
  • 3 bananas.

Step 3: Mixing the Ingredients

  • Mash the bananas in a bowl until they are smooth.
  • Add the yogurt, boiled oats, freshly squeezed apple and carrot juice (or grated apple and carrot), and cinnamon spice to the bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients together well until they are thoroughly combined.

Step 4: Freezing the Mixture

  • Pour the mixture into small containers or ice cube trays. This will make it easier to serve later.
  • Place the containers or trays on a rack in the freezer.
  • Allow the mixture to freeze for at least four hours or until it reaches a solid consistency.

Step 5: Enjoyment Time

  • Once the doggy ice cream is frozen, take it out of the freezer.
  • Serve a portion to your dog and let them enjoy their homemade treat!

Remember to store any remaining doggy ice cream in a sealed container in the freezer for future use. Keeps for 3 months. Enjoy making and sharing this healthy and delicious treat with your dog!
