My Visit to Millets Farm Centre with My Dog, Oak

Recently, I took my furry friend, Oak, to Millets Farm Centre in Frilford, Oxfordshire. It was a great experience, with plenty to see and do for both of us.

One of the things I loved about Millets Farm Centre was the free parking. We parked in a grassy area surrounded by trees, which was great for Oak to stretch her legs before our adventure began. Also there are a few dog bins in this area, which are handy.

Millets Farm Centre offers various areas that are dog-friendly, including a section where you can view animals on display. There were llamas and sheep, a baby lamb, ponies, goats, and even emus! Oak and I had a great time watching the animals and enjoying the outdoors.

After viewing the animals, we discovered a public footpath at the back of the farm. This led to a scenic nature walk through fields, it was just perfect. We saw a red kite and other smaller birds in the hedgerow’s.

Millets Farm is also home to a dog-friendly garden Centre called Webbs. It was a great opportunity for me to pick up some plants and garden supplies. Sadly on the day of our visit they had temporarily taken the pet section out of the garden Centre. Oak still enjoyed meeting the staff, one of whom kindly filled a watering can up so she could have a drink.

If you’re visiting Millets Farm Centre during the summer months, don’t forget to grab an ice cream! There’s an outdoor area where you can purchase ice cream and other treats.

For the kids, there’s a small fair and playground to explore. Although dogs aren’t allowed in that area, they can still watch from over the short fence.

While there are many attractions at Millets Farm Centre that aren’t dog-friendly, it’s still well worth a visit. From the animal viewing area to the nature walk, there’s plenty to keep you and your dog entertained.

Overall, my trip to Millets Farm Centre with Oak was a huge success. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day out with their dog in Oxfordshire.

Oak and I give Millets Farm a woof o meter reading of 5.
